Desander
Grit collectors have the task of retaining sand and other mineral substances that could disturb the purification process. Inside a stilling basin they exploit the force of gravity to separate the water from the sand or materials brought into suspension. The yield of the SCAE desander allows a separation up to 90% of the sand in clean water. It is important, prior to the placement of a desander, that a proper design be performed to determine its exact sizing.
