Mud Thickeners
Thickening or thickening is generally the first phase to which sludge from water purification or potable water treatment cycles is subjected, with the aim of reducing the humidity present in the sludge itself. The reduction of moisture, even if small, leads to a significant reduction in the volume of material to be treated and therefore a significant saving in the sizing of the subsequent phases, and therefore a significant reduction in the investment and operating costs of the sludge treatment and disposal plants.
