Mechanical sludge dewatering unit

Easy Press ZEUS is a monoblock package for thickening and/or dewatering sludge in civil and industrial wastewater treatment plants. At maximum operating speed it has low operating and maintenance costs that more than compensate for the lower costs of sludge transport and disposal, generating real savings in economic terms and a tangible advantage for the environment.

It is possible to achieve sludge thickening up to 15% DS or sludge dewatering over 20% DS, this depending on the chemical, physical and biological characteristics of the sludge to be treated in each individual plant.

The ZEUS Easy Press offers a valid solution for both sludge thickening and dewatering in small and medium-sized sewage treatment plants, both civil and industrial. Low operating and maintenance costs and a compact design have been the goals of a series of machines. It is possible to obtain a sludge thickening up to 15% DS or a sludge dehydration up to 20%±5% DS, this depending on the chemical, physical and biological characteristics of the sludge to be treated in each single plant.

Easy Press ZEUS is equipped with all the equipment to complete the dehydration section, such as the single screw electric pumps for sludge feeding and polyelectrolyte dosing, the station for preparing the polyelectrolyte solution and any screw for conveying the dehydrated sludge. The result is a complete monobloc treatment package.

Description:

The main part of the Easy Press ZEUS is formed, depending on the model, by one or more screw conveyors with a shaft, which runs inside a sort of duct made by an alternation of fixed and mobile disks. The disks are entirely made of AISI 304 or 316L stainless steel. The sludge, after being conditioned in the special flocculation tank, enters from the loading mouth(s) located in the initial part of each single pressing screw, is transported by the spiral movement of the screw and then, following the advancement, progressively dehydrated and compacted. The water is separated from the sludge through the space created between the mobile discs; the relative movement between the discs favours the continuous self-cleaning of the spaces between them and prevents clogging and blockage of the machine. Thanks to this system, the machine requires less washing water than other types of equipment on the market dedicated to sludge dehydration.
